General procedures for gel imaging

1. turn on the gel imaging system switch.
2. Turn on the computer and the system will automatically turn on and enter the imaging software.
3. open the front panel of the gel imaging system, select the ultraviolet transmission light source or the white light transmission light source, and place the corresponding light source in place.
4. Place the sample on the sample table of the transmission light source.
5. Select 302nm light source in the imaging operation interface and click to image immediately.
common problem
1. Is the higher the pixel, the better the product?
Pixels are for imaging equipment. For example, the pixels of digital camera and CCD are not comparable. Secondly, the quality of CCD itself is more important than the simple pixel height. For the same level of CCD, the important index is its size, that is, the size of CCD. The larger the size, the more its own value will grow geometrically.
2. What is the main purpose of the accessory UV reflector?
UV reflective lamp source is not widely used, mainly to provide non transparent materials of DNA gel carrier, such as paper chromatography and other imaging needs. Because the transparent agarose gel and polyacrylamide gel are more commonly used, the transmission light source can be completely satisfied, so the UV reflection light source is not selected as the standard.
3. Is it possible to glue directly on gel imaging?
JP gel imaging can directly cut the glue. First, according to the observation window in the middle of the system, open the observation window with imported anti UV glass, then open the small door designed for the tapping glue on both sides, and then the glue cutting operation can be carried out.
4. How to adjust the focal length and focus aperture to get high quality pictures?
The three important adjustable parameters are focal length, focus and aperture. The focal length adjusts the definition, the focus adjusts the image size, and the aperture adjusts the brightness. Generally, the aperture is adjusted to the appropriate brightness, then the focus is adjusted to the maximum, and the focal length is adjusted. The focal length is easier to be adjusted to the sharpest state in the case of larger image, and then zoom in after the appropriate size.
